On September 7, 2021 Welch middle school had their first home game against the South coffeevile team. It started at 6 p.m. and it ended about 8 p.m. The score was 28-6, Dakota scored 3 touchdowns but he also missed a 2 point conversion. Caston also made a touchdown Dakota agrees with the coach that they have a lot of spirit. “We played our hearts out and we won.” Caleb claims that Dakota got about 200 rushing yards; it also was the first game for the Middle School Cheerleaders. Everyone thought they did awesome for their first game. The girls had fun cheering on the boys to a win. Mrs. Miller, the cheer coach, says she regrets that she didn’t get the banner out fast enough for the football boys to run through but she is also proud of the way her students, both cheerleaders and football players did at the game.
